Erin Fetherston Ready-to-Wear Spring 2015 Nails

I'm finally getting around to posting day 25 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge  2014, inspired by fashion. When perusing looks from New York Fashion Weeks Spring/Summer 2015 I came across a gorgeous striped skirt in Erin Fetherston's Ready-to-Wear collection.

Nauti-Roses

After wearing my day 12 nails all day I knew they weren't coming off; therefore, it was time for me to adapt them into my floral day 14 nails in Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2014. I love flowers and stripes together, they were even featured together in my very first post. I'd been yearning to do them together again, but just hadn't felt up to the challenge. With the base already on my nails I was half way there...

There's a Kerfuffle over the Herringbone

Now that my picture editor is working (sort of) again I'm backtracking to day 12 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2014, stripes. Honestly, I drew a complete blank on this one for days because originally I had wanted to do a floral design underneath stripes as if looking through blinds. However, that's too much of an undertaking to put on and remove when I really want to enjoy such labored over nail art. Finally, I settled on nautical stripes with a twist, because I love everything nautical.

Shamrocks on One Year Blogiversary!

I have a short but sweet post for you all being that it's my One Year Blogiversary! It wasn't until I looked back to my first post that I realized it was on Saint Patrick's Day; so I decided to do quick shamrock look inspired by my first post.

Pretty & Polished When Hearts Kaleidoscope

Today I have nail art featuring Pretty & Polished When Hearts Kaleidoscope for day 27 of The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge. I decided to mix things up by doing my nail art over glitter, and even using the glitter to assist in some of the designs. The three patterns I choice to use were leopard, flowers, and plaid, but before we get to that, I've got photos and a review of this beautiful polish.

31DC2013 : butter LONDON Rainbow Tape Manicure (+Tutorial)

Today I have day 27  of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 and day 3 of The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge. This is a taped manicure based on fine line quilting (as artwork). I found an outline for a quilt here, sadly I could not find a photo of the final quilt. All the same I new I wanted to make this into nail art.

31DC2013 : Julep Neon Tribal Print

Day 16 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here (and past, because apparently I forgot to publish this post) and I am excited to share with you my neon tribal printed nails. I decided to use white for my tribal design, which makes it look a little Easter-y. Also, my polish got a little stringy, so please ignore that in my design. All the same, I really like how summery my nails turned out.

31DC2013 : Striped Notebook Nails

Day 12 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here with polka striped notebook nails. These came from very deep archives, as I did not have time to do my nails today. I had a lot of fun doing these, but my skills have improved vastly since this time. These photos were taken with my phone so they are a little hazy. All the same, the designs I did still give me a giggle, and hopeful you too.

"D" is for Designer Dolce and Gabbana Nails

So, in this post I bring to you my lovely "D" is for Designer Dolce and Gabbana nails inspired by a lovely ensemble seen on both Katy Perry and the 2013 Spring Runway. My colors are not quite to scale, because I wanted to use my"D" polishes, which I'll list below. I have apparently mastered combining two of my challenges into one post (I am now convinced they planned these to align subconsciously): week four of the Girly Girl Challenge hosted by Mani's by Moore, which is "Inspired by the Runway"; and week four of the "ABC" Challenge hosted by Erica's Nails and More, which is the letter "D." If you click on the label for the challenge name you can find challenge details and my other nail designs for said challenge. And here they are..

"A" is for Argyle

For week one of the "ABC" Challenge, hosted by Erica's Nails and More, I went a little overboard with my "A" is for Assorted Argyle Art. I couldn't decide what I wanted to do, nor had I ever tried to do argyle nail art, so I choice to make each nail a little different to aid in my decision making for next time. Thanks to this, you'll have to forgive the not all so lovely test nails. Please let me know which nail(s) you like best; for me it's definitely my thumbs (which unfortunately I chipped before photographing and had to touch up).

Phillip Lim Inspired Nails

When seeking inspiration for my latest nail style for the I Heart Nail Art contest hosted by Sally Hansen, I turned to Spring/Summer 2013 New York Fashion Week. Phillip Lim's collection instantly grabbed my attention (see some inspiration outfits below) with it's vibrant floral prints and graphic urban details. So sit back, RELAX, and enjoy!

Floral Meets Nautical!

As a lover of all things nautical, I'm predisposed to see every item of clothing's inner seafarer. The same can be said for my nail inspirations; and my "modern princess-ballerina"  (i.e. I went to see Snow White the ballet) outfit is no different.

Top-Victoria Secret Moda (old); Blazer and bow-Forever 21 (old); Skirt-The Limited (here); Shoes-BCBGeneration (found at Marshall and TJ Maxx, similiar here); Necklace and Bracelets-independents (unknown).

Polishes from left to right- Butter London's Pearly Queen, Jasper, Trout Pout, Molly-Coddled, & HRH; Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen in Blue; Essie's Butler Please.
I hope you love my floral meets nautical nails as much as I do! I have a feeling I may just do these again. Floral inspiration found here.
