31DC2013 : ReCap of my Favorite Designs

Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 has ended, and a part of me is greatly relieved; however, I am truly glad I was able to complete the challenge and have some great nail art to short for it. I really wanted to recap my favorite nail designs from the challenge in no particular order (mostly because I can't decide).

31DC2013 : Grunge Nails

Day 31, the final day, of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 bring us to Honoring Nails We Love, and for me I was inspired by grunge nails. I did these in a pedicure a while back and will definitely be doing them again.

31DC2013 : IKat Hearts with Pahlish An Evergreen's Taunt

Today I have day 30  of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 and day 4 of The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge. So today I present you with an IKat Heart design (both a tutorial and tribal print respectively). Now an IKat print is simple enough, but when searching for tribal tutorials I found one by ModNails with a heart design-simple and fun and something I hadn't done, yet...

31DC2013 : Sleepy Hollow Nails (+Tutorial)

Day 29 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is a Supernatural theme. I instantly knew I wanted to do some sort of legend, whether it be mermaids or unicorns, etc.; but then thought I could make it a Halloween themed design as well. I then happened upon this mystical tree image and knew I wanted to do Sleepy Hollow nails.

Day 28 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here with nails inspired  by a New Zealand Flag mock-up.

31DC2013 : butter LONDON Rainbow Tape Manicure (+Tutorial)

Today I have day 27  of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 and day 3 of The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge. This is a taped manicure based on fine line quilting (as artwork). I found an outline for a quilt here, sadly I could not find a photo of the final quilt. All the same I new I wanted to make this into nail art.

31DC2013 : Zebra Inspired Nails

Day 26 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here with Zebra Pattern Inspired Nails. I decided to spin the meaning and share nail art that I did inspired by my floor mat, heh. 

Colors used: OPI Honk If You Loe OPI; China Glze Whirled Away; and Stripe Rite in black, white, & light blue.

31DC2013 : Feathered Nails

Today I have day 25  of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 and day 2 of The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge. Sorry I'm bringing this to you a day late, but between work and filming (I'm working on the set of a movie base off of the book Love Finds You In Sugarcreek, OH) I couldn't fit in a post yesterday. Anywho, today I have another nail design from my archives that fortunately I could match with both challenges (fashion and my most used color is OPI A Grape Fit!).

31DC2013 : Catching Fire Nails

Day 24 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here and my nails are Catching Fire with this Book challenge. I really enjoyed reading the hunger games series and after seeing Chalkboard Nails Smoke Nail Art I knew I wanted to try using the watercolor technique for a flame effect. How do you think it turned out?

Today marks day 23 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 and the start of The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge. So today I have a combo manicure that is a dotted print of The Matrix (movie).

31DC2013 : Pretty In Pink Pedicure

Day 22 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here with nails inspired by The Psychedelic Furs "Pretty in Pink". When I did these nails a while back this song and Pretty In Pink (the movie it was written for) were my inspiration. Throughout the movie Molly Righwald's character Andie wears a lot of soft pinks with neutral accents, and I wanted to emulate that in my pedicure.

Day 21 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is inspired by the color  Scofflaw Flotsam & Jetsam. Let me just say I absolutely love this polish!

Day 19 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 brings you Galaxies. These come from an archive of photos off my phone, so forgive the quality. I loved my half moon nails so much I couldn't take them off just yet, but I hope you like these galaxy nails all the same.

31DC2013 : Gold Iron Ore Textured (Half Moon) Vintage Manicure

For day 18 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 I bring you a textured vintage, half moon manicure. I really enjoy vintage inspired manicures and I tend to do a matte versus sheen with my half moon. This time my inspiration was gold in iron ore so I choice to mix sheen and texture. I then added a gradient for a little something extra. I hope you like it.

31DC2013 : Julep Neon Tribal Print

Day 16 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here (and past, because apparently I forgot to publish this post) and I am excited to share with you my neon tribal printed nails. I decided to use white for my tribal design, which makes it look a little Easter-y. Also, my polish got a little stringy, so please ignore that in my design. All the same, I really like how summery my nails turned out.

 Day 15 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is here with a Delicate Sponged print. This was an impromptu manicure I did at a friend's a while back with a Q-tip. I hope you like it.
