Snowflakes in a Pond of Blue. . .Presents

This winter I decided to recreate one of my favorite nail art looks of last year, Snowflakes in a Pond of Blue, with a little twist - hand painted red ribbons and bows to look like wrapped presents! hehe. I did enter this in the #celebratewithpueen contest on instagram; but it was on my to do list before I knew about the contest. I've also been putting off posting this because it didn't quite live up to my expectations; but the Polish Party prompt this month is stamping with a three color gradient -  pond gradient in this case ;) - so I thought that must be my wake up call to stop hoarding and start sharing!

Ghosts, & Tombstones, & Tutorials, Oh My!

Day 29 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge  2014 is inspired by the supernatural and my Cult Nails polishes <- because what better polish brand in my collection to inspire this look! This year I decided to take things in a more classic direction with ghostly nails in a commentary (tombstone) setting. I wanted to create something simple that even a novice with no extra tools could recreate. For those of you who desire more of a challenge, last year I did Sleepy Hollow inspired nails with a tutorial.

Easter Egg Inspired Faux Tape Manicure (+ Tutorial)

Hello lovelies! I'm truly hoping someday soon my health will not hinder my life so much and I can get back to doing more fun & intricate nail art as well as blogging regularly. My beautiful polishes sit in a corner (in addition to boxes under the couch...heh) and get used by my friends more than myself. Today's nail art is from just before Easter. I never got around to posting it because I didn't think it came out quite how I was hoping; but the more I see it and know how much I struggled to sit up and finish the look I feel it needs to be shared, because I was so proud I finished them.

Shamrocks on One Year Blogiversary!

I have a short but sweet post for you all being that it's my One Year Blogiversary! It wasn't until I looked back to my first post that I realized it was on Saint Patrick's Day; so I decided to do quick shamrock look inspired by my first post.

Be My Paisley Valentine

Hello lovelies! Today I'm excited to share with you my paisley Valentine nails. I am a huge fan of paisley, but never have it on my nails because polish always gets stringy before I can complete all the details. Thus, I finally took the plunge into acrylic paints and I'm so happy I did! Wondrously Polished does beautiful nail designs with acrylics, including a recent paisley print. I did enter these nails in the Barielle and Nailpolis Valentine's contest; so if you like them I would appreciate the vote. There are some truly beautiful looks you should check out in the contests too!

Best of 2013

Hello again! What better way to start off a new year of nail art than reflecting over my favorite designs from the previous!? So, I scrounged through my archives and found my top twelve (with some help from you, my readers, and your wonderful comments/likes/repins/etc.). Without further ado, here they are in no particular order...unless you consider my wanting them to look great for the line-up.

Snowflakes in a Pond of Blue

I am really excited to share this manicure with you today. I decided to have a little fun with my MoYou London Festive Collection Plate 02. In the end I landed on a snowflake pond manicure. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Also, if you do like, please like or repin it from the MoYou London December Contest Board here. I do have some other designs, including my seashell nails posted as well.

Holiday (Darling) Diva Collection

Confessional time...about a week and a half ago I busted a nail about 3/4ths of the way down and a 1/3 of the way in, so I went into hiding since my patch only helped so much. (I'll let you all guess which..heh.) It's finally growing out some, although you'll have to forgive any glimpses. I've also decided to join Will Paint Nails For Food's Beginning Blogger's Bootcamp. As a result of this, I've been revamping the look of my blog thanks to some reader/blogger feedback. I hope you like the changes, you'll have to let me know.
Today I received three of Darling Diva's Holiday Diva Collection polishes - Naughty Mrs. Claus, Princess North Wind, and Flocons de Neige Sous L'aurore; and they were all so beautiful the swatches needed to happen ASAP!

Chevron Thanksgiving Gumdrops

Welcome to another catch up posting day for the The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge. I'm cheating slightly by posting days 29 and 30 together, since they both are to feature the same pattern-chevron in this case. I used MoYou London Pro Collection plate 02 for my chevron image.
First up I have my Chevron Thanksgiving nails for day 29, my favorite pattern, using some of my new butter LONDON shades. (Pin-able image, base, then nail art.)

31DC2013 : Sleepy Hollow Nails (+Tutorial)

Day 29 of Chalkboard Nails 31 Day Challenge 2013 is a Supernatural theme. I instantly knew I wanted to do some sort of legend, whether it be mermaids or unicorns, etc.; but then thought I could make it a Halloween themed design as well. I then happened upon this mystical tree image and knew I wanted to do Sleepy Hollow nails.

Think Pink-scale Easter Nails

Hello there. I'm a few days late, although I did my nail art on Friday, with my "Think Pink" meets Easter nails. I'm not as happy with these nails as I hoped I would be, hence my procrastination in posting them. Let me know what you think. I look forward to the next Girly Girl Challenge hosted by Mani's by Moore.
