As promised, I have some nail art featuring B Squared Lacquer's #instafamily collection. I decided to see what Chalkboard Nails Distressed Nail Art would look like with a holo/glitter finish, and I really like the end results.
I started with With All of My Heart as the base; and then I did my distressed swipes using All Aboard, Change the Game, and Purple Unicorn (in that order).
I did know that going into this, I was using some jellies, which is why I used one for a base, & the other as my last polish so it would slightly shift the color of those under it. I will say, this did dramatically soften the intensity of Change the Game-so if you want crisper color shifts I would use this polish last.
I found this collection gave the distressed nail art a kind of magical feel, which I really enjoyed. Don't get me wrong though, I love a creme grunge/distressed nail.
So what do you prefer, classical (creme) distressed nails or something a little more glitzy? Also, have you tried this technique or another (Q-tip and acetone, etc.)? Let me know what you think in the comments. You can see a full review of the #instafamily collection here. B Squared Lacquers can be in their Big Cartel shop; plus you can follow them on Facebook. As always, please feel free to leave me you're feedback or any questions you might have. In addition, let me know if you have any requests/ideas you would like to see. All my polishes are purchased by me (or a gift from a friend, not supplier) unless otherwise stated.
