OPI Black Spotted Returns To Altantis

Day 7 of The Crumpet's 33 Day Challenge is here with "artwork featuring your oldest untried," i.e. Mary Capan's Return to Atlantis featuring OPI's Black Spotted (yes, I know, how have I not tried this for so long...heh). As you can guess, the hardest part was finding artwork that had a black spotted effect-but I did, and loosely recreated it into my own nail art.

I started with a base of OPI Skulls & Glossbones and then once fully dry (I did use a butter LONDON Hardwear to speed the process up) topped with Black Spotted.

I then did my own take on the drip and spread technique (Upclose & Polished has a great video tutorial on the basic drip and spread mani ; also here) using Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat as a base & then quickly dripping Sally Hansen Water Color into the wet base, and in some places I dripped Skulls & Glossblones into the center of that. I did leave a great deal more of the base manicure exposed that Upclose & Polished so Black Spotted would be visible.
Overall I very happy with the way this manicure turned out. I did have a bit of trouble with my thumb, but it's abstract so anything goes! ;u) As always, please feel free to  leave me you're feedback on this manicure or any questions you might have. In addition, let me know if you have any requests/ideas you would like to see. All my polishes are purchased by me (or a gift from a friend, not supplier) unless otherwise stated.

    1. Thank you so much! I'm thinking of trying similar nail art while some of my glitter polishes as the base.
